Africa Compute Fund operates Monarch, Monarch Storefront, Monarch Cloud, Tender Desk, and related AI, compute, messaging, and workflow services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our websites, applications, WhatsApp services, business portals, APIs, and integrations.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
We may collect name, email, phone number, login provider information (such as Google account ID), business ownership/role data, and authentication/session data.
Business profile information
We may collect business name/category/description, address or service area, products/services, pricing, payment instructions, hours, booking settings, storefront links/slugs, and uploaded files, logos, images, and documents.
Customer and WhatsApp interaction data
We may process WhatsApp sender identifiers, customer names (if provided), messages, questions, booking requests, leads, payment-related submissions, uploaded files/media, and conversation context needed to continue interactions.
Booking, lead, and workflow data
We may collect requested service/product, appointment details, booking/payment status, customer notes, generated exports/PDFs/summaries, workflow outputs, and submitted records/documents.
Google account and Google Calendar data
When you sign in with Google, we may receive basic account information (name, email, user ID). If you connect Google Calendar, access is used only for booking-related calendar functionality (create/update/manage events). We may store tokens securely to keep integration active.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising. You can disconnect Calendar from the Storefront portal, which stops future syncing and should revoke/invalidate stored credentials.
Usage and technical data
We may collect IP address, device/browser information, page visits, timestamps, API/request/error logs, performance metrics, billing counters, session events, and security/fraud signals.
Payment and billing data
We may process plan and usage information, payment status, transaction references, invoice data, and provider metadata. Third-party providers may process payment instruments directly.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate services, authenticate users, power storefronts, respond to customer messages, generate AI-assisted outputs, capture leads/bookings, sync with Google Calendar (when enabled), generate exports/PDFs, support billing and usage limits, provide support, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve service performance.
3. AI Processing
Some services use AI to understand messages, generate replies, summarize information, extract details, interpret uploads, and produce workflow outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before high-stakes use. Avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive data.
4. WhatsApp and Messaging
Monarch Storefront uses WhatsApp and related messaging infrastructure to help businesses communicate with customers. Messages may be processed to present business information, answer questions, capture leads, and create/update bookings. Business owners remain responsible for the information they provide and customer communications.
5. Google Calendar Integration
When connected, Monarch may create/update/cancel booking-related events. Event data may include customer details, service requested, booking time, business name, status, references, and notes required for booking operations. Users can disconnect at any time.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with processors and service providers (hosting, messaging, AI, analytics, payments, storage, email, logging, authentication, infrastructure), with business owners and customers as needed for service delivery, for legal/safety reasons, or in business transfer scenarios.
7. Data Retention
We retain data as necessary to provide services, maintain accounts, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type and service context.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (including access controls and operational security practices), but no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. User Choices
Users may update profile information, update storefront data, disconnect Google Calendar, request correction/deletion of certain information, or contact us with privacy questions at intro@africacomputefund.com.
10. Children
Services are not directed to children. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us.
11. International Use
Africa Compute Fund is based in Kenya and may use providers operating in other jurisdictions. Data may be processed in Kenya or other countries where providers operate.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this policy over time. Updates are posted on this page with a revised effective date.
